Is the Asus eeePad a good iPad alternative?
Have you heard of the Asus eeePad? Your answer is probably NO! It is yet another tablet that was revealed at CES 2011 in January this year. I knew Asus would reveal something but I did not know how great it was going to be! It looks like an awesome device from Asus. I think this will be one of the best iPad alternatives after the Xoom and Playbook in 2011 this year. The Asus eeePad tackles a brand new concept when it comes to the tablet computer era. You can get 3 different versions of the Asus eeePad iPad alternative and this will rock your mind. The first version is Asus eeePad Transformer EP101. It will allow you to attach a keyboard to your tablet and you can use it just as if it were a laptop computer. This will add a spectacular functionality to your device that you will absolutely love.
Some people hate how hard it is to type on the iPad but with the Asus eeePad transformer, you can type on a normal laptop computer keyboard and still have the tablet functionality if you need it! This is what makes the Asus eeePad such a great iPad alternative. Don’t forget aobut the other Asus eeePad variants though! You can get the Asus eeePad slider from which a keyboard slides out of the bottom similar to a messaging cell phone. My favorite Asus eeePad variant is the Asus eeePad Memo. How can I download iPad games from outside the USA?
I currently live in Korea and have an iPad. I do have a VPN provider and successfully connected through it but for unknown reasons was still denied access to the iTunes store. Anyway, does anyone know of any alternative method of obtaining games for iPad?
Neil, Clearly you are mistaken. My credit card is as American as apple pie but since I’m in Korea, the iTunes store doesn’t let me use it.

Apple doesn’t care about your physical location. They only care which country your credit card was issued.
Is it possible to use a gift card to buy iPad apps?
I am out of the country and cannot use my iTunes account to purchase apps because Apple can sense that I am out of the country and my credit card won’t work. I can however buy a gift card through a VPN. Can I use it for iPad apps? If not, are there any other alternatives?
Yes you can buy any $25 – $50 visa, mastercard or amex giftcard on ebay and use it for itunes. I never use my real credit card with itunes or paypal.
Has Apple released whether the DVD Player application will be available on the iPad?
I know it obviously won’t be able to play DVD’s, but there might be a way to connect a DVD player to it. This would be an alternative to filling up the small hard drive with iTunes library.
DVD support will never come to iPad and very soon it will disappear from many netbooks to make it lighter.
If you want more memory , there are plenty of apps available that streams video,audio from home computer over Wi-Fi or 3G. You don’t have to be on the same network.
Besides, you can also get some memory on Box and Drop Box. Both have FREE apps for iphone/iPad.
DVD is in last phase of its life anyway.
NetBooks can never match the quality of iPad. Accelerometer based gaming interface with HD graphics makes it incredible. iWork is immaculate on it and it costs only $30. On netbooks MS Office cost somewhere near $115.
