GMAIL push on iPad

have heard a lot about the gmail push for iphone , that is is very goodapplicationand easy to hand and manage the mails from there. Truly speaking I have no much idea about the application. I have notinstalledit before and so i need some help from your guys. What is the application and how does it works, also I would like it to work on my ipad. Is this possible? Thank you.

Google’s push for GMail via GoogleSync, which itself uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync). Push can be likened to a permanent connection between servers and Apple’s iPhone, which uses resources on a regular basis. To activate the service on your device, you must register your GMail account as an Exchange account. I think you should try using this application, it is great.

Re: GMAIL push on iPad
You can rather go for GPushed, GPushed is an application available for a few days in the AppStore that adds push email notification. As soon as you receive new e-mail pop-ups appear with an overview and an icon on theprogramwith a badge. Configuration is very simple, since all you have to do is to run the application, enterinformation for the Gmail account and save the settings. Recall that the Push Notification require the battery and that continuous monitoring can be enabled via the settings. In this case, Gmail will push open a connection only when the server has detected the presence of new messages.

Re: GMAIL push on iPad
With the release of the iPad , apple launched an experimental interface consists of two components in order to take full advantage of its large touch screen. Based on the Web application, this new interface to your conversations and messages left to right. All the features of Gmail that you know, like offline access and caching, are present on the version iPad. The shelves are very new, so expect to change while we optimize this new format.

Why doesn’t a map in iframe on a website display on mobile devices?
I built a website (straightforward HTML with CSS) and embedded a Google map in an iframe (Google’s code, a simple cut and paste). It does not display on iPhone, Droid phone or iPad. I found some info about Vimeo videos not displaying and they also use iFrames, but the answer didn’t apply to my problem. Any one know of a code fix? THANKS!

Here’s a link to the page: http://www.sandmexpediting.com/contact.html It either just leaves a black space where the map should be, or it loads my personal Google home page (on my android phone). Help!
I’m reading up on the Google API info, but it’s a little over my head and not sure if it applies either. Thanks!
Shawn: Apparently Google is “working on it.” Check out this thread: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/maps/thread?tid=46438c12fed0c481&hl=en&fid=46438c12fed0c48100049dedaac9271e

    Gmail in Outlook as Exchange?
I’ve been seeing various tutorials for people to add Gmail as outlook to their phones and mobile devices (iPhone/iPad, even DROID), but I want to use Outlook 2010 to connect to my Gmail like that as well.

Before you go telling me Gmail doesn’t support Exchange, yes it does, here’s some evidence:
    http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009/09/google-sync-now-with-push-gmail-support.html
    http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/6548/ipad-iphone-setup-gmail-as-an-exchange-account-full-calendar-email-contact-syncing-and-push-support/

Before you go telling me I don’t need it an to just use IMAP or POP, no. I want the syncing of my calendar and contacts to be done properly. I’ve paid for 2 programs now that both claim they worked with Outlook 2010, but I ended up losing 15 contacts and multiple calendar entries before I realized they were wrong, and by that time they had also changed their tune.

If all these mobile devices can so easily configure themselves to use it as an exchange server, what can I do to make Outlook configure to work with it?

I need help getting started with creating a searchable database.?
This isn’t a database that is number-based, it’s for people, and their information. Basically I want it to look the same as if it were put in excel (which I already have all of them on excel, I’m just not able to search for an individual contact like on Facebook for instance) because it’s very neat and organized. This also has to be able to be on an IPad- which yes, I have looked for apps that may be suitable for my liking but there aren’t. I have downloaded the “database for IPad” application and tried importing my database from Google Docs but It wouldn’t let me. The trouble of me manually typing in my contacts in their information in each different product is that I have almost 400 contacts, that include their phone numbers, spouses, children, addresses, etc. HELP PLEASEEEEEEEE

554 554 error when trying to email Yahoo! Contact?
Okay…so since Monday night, I have been having problems trying to email a contact of mine…I use gmail…and I have been attempting to contact someone with a yahoo address…I know the address exists because I have mailed it many times before, this is only a recent problem…
Then, it became more frequent, and now it comes up pretty much every time i try to email it; yet I still don’t know if the mail has sent even when the error does not come up. There have also been occassions where I haven’t received an email from this address that was sent to me too. The error I get is:
“Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

        Contact@yahoo.com

    Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn’t have a yahoo.com account (contact@yahoo.com) [0] – mta1497.mail.mud.yahoo.com (state 18).

I have tried emailing it from my computer directly from gmail too, and I have tried emailing the address from my own yahoo account…yet the error still persists…can anyone enlighten me? Does anyone have any idea what’s going on? I know the address exists and is correct…I just don’t get why it is coming up all of a sudden…is anyone else having problems with Yahoo! Mail?
Does anyone have any idea when/if they will be rectified?
    Cheers

    • Lyn G says:

Well, according to the failure message, “Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error.” The bottom line is that the other E-mail service provider is rejecting that mail. Contact your friend, make SURE that the E-mail address is currant and correct. If it is, than ask them if there have been any problems with their service provider.
