GMAIL push on iPad

have heard a lot about the gmail push for iphone , that is is very goodapplicationand easy to hand and manage the mails from there. Truly speaking I have no much idea about the application. I have notinstalledit before and so i need some help from your guys. What is the application and how does it works, also I would like it to work on my ipad. Is this possible? Thank you.

Google’s push for GMail via GoogleSync, which itself uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync). Push can be likened to a permanent connection between servers and Apple’s iPhone, which uses resources on a regular basis. To activate the service on your device, you must register your GMail account as an Exchange account. I think you should try using this application, it is great.

Re: GMAIL push on iPad
You can rather go for GPushed, GPushed is an application available for a few days in the AppStore that adds push email notification. As soon as you receive new e-mail pop-ups appear with an overview and an icon on theprogramwith a badge. Configuration is very simple, since all you have to do is to run the application, enterinformation for the Gmail account and save the settings. Recall that the Push Notification require the battery and that continuous monitoring can be enabled via the settings. In this case, Gmail will push open a connection only when the server has detected the presence of new messages.

Re: GMAIL push on iPad
With the release of the iPad , apple launched an experimental interface consists of two components in order to take full advantage of its large touch screen. Based on the Web application, this new interface to your conversations and messages left to right. All the features of Gmail that you know, like offline access and caching, are present on the version iPad. The shelves are very new, so expect to change while we optimize this new format.

had anyone bought iphone/ipad/ any phone from this MSN user lucianostoreltd@gmail.com / phone2sell@live.com?
Hi all from Singapore..pls be aware of this guys….named Patrick antonio (may be phillipino ) from U.K -phone2selll@live.com
they are group of peoples selling phone with cheap prices and offering free gift like buy 1 get 2…
but pls dont ever think about ( free lunch ) that..at 1st they will ask you to make the payment via Western Union to trade with him in order to get the shipment details…but once you give them the Western Union code call MTCN number you will never get your money back. properly they might give you a tracking number (fake one. they hosted a fake webpage to let you check your shipment details, but when you check your shipment details you will notice a big surprise cox they will ship out with extra items that you never ask for and they will start saying that they are sorry. cox of the mispackaging , so you just pay for some of the mispackaging items ,you will get all with very low price -that is the second trick) .phone2sell@live.com is a spam/cheat/fraud dealer.
pls dont buy anything from them, and spread the message around the world.
for further information pls contact me at surveywilliamlay@gmail.com
    Good luck to your guys

      I agree, 100% scam.

      There are no phones.

There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money.

The next email will be from another of the scammer’s fake names and free email addresses.

Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer.Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever.

Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his ‘potential sucker’ list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell you email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram.

You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information.

Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, then google for information and learn how. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don’t bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn’t worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash.

As you know, whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer.

Posting that scammer’s name, email address and the emails themselves everywhere will slow him down when a potential suspicious victim finds your post and then does not become a victim.

If you would like to cause that scammer some grief, you could google the word ‘scambaiting’. At the sites you find you can post up that fake site, ask questions, learn how to shut down a fake website and read how others have done just that. Even if you aren’t interested in helping shut down that fake site, you could still post it at the scambaiting sites for someone else to “take care of”.

    iPad 2 questions… help please?
I recently bought an iPad 2, and I love it. I have some minor problems with it that just really get on my nerves…
    1) in the mail app that comes already downloaded, I can see all my mail and I can reply to emails, but have a problem sending emails from scratch. So I will tap ‘compose’ and the little window pops up, and in the box where you put people’s email address I will start typing in the name of someone in my gmail contacts or there email. It should pop up a list of, for example, all the people in my contacts that have an M in their name when I type that letter. But it doesn’t. So if I want to send an email to Maya, I must know her exact email. And I know that these people are in my Gmail contacts, is it possible there was a problem syncing my gmail account onto the iPad?
    2) Windows… I can have a bunch of different pages, or windows open at once… when I’m on one page and switch to another, it refreshes the page I just switched to! Minor annoyance, only costs me 4 seconds each time I switch pages, but it makes me a little worried. Like I will be on, say, answers.yahoo.com and I will have some time before gone to urbandictionary.com on another window, and when I go back to urgandictionary it will refresh automatically somehow. Same when I go back to yahoo answers.
    3) Onscreen keyboard… it you touch and hold a letter on the onscreen keyboard, special versions of that letter will appear as options. Like tap and hold E on the keyboard, Es with dashes, dots and stuff will appear. I can’t touch any of those. If I let go of the E long enough to move my finger to the options, they disappear. Help!
    4) When I use the power adapter thing that plugs into a regular wall outlet, the iPad will say “Not Charging” I don’t see why, my outlet should have significant power, it can charge my iPod.

Even if you don’t know how to fix these problems, lmk if you know a good apple support site or if you can just take your iPad into the apple store and ask someone about your problems. If you answer, please keep in mind we’re dealing with someone clueless about technology!

    Gmail in Outlook as Exchange?
I’ve been seeing various tutorials for people to add Gmail as outlook to their phones and mobile devices (iPhone/iPad, even DROID), but I want to use Outlook 2010 to connect to my Gmail like that as well.

Before you go telling me Gmail doesn’t support Exchange, yes it does, here’s some evidence:
    http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009/09/google-sync-now-with-push-gmail-support.html
    http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/6548/ipad-iphone-setup-gmail-as-an-exchange-account-full-calendar-email-contact-syncing-and-push-support/

Before you go telling me I don’t need it an to just use IMAP or POP, no. I want the syncing of my calendar and contacts to be done properly. I’ve paid for 2 programs now that both claim they worked with Outlook 2010, but I ended up losing 15 contacts and multiple calendar entries before I realized they were wrong, and by that time they had also changed their tune.

If all these mobile devices can so easily configure themselves to use it as an exchange server, what can I do to make Outlook configure to work with it?
