The release of the Gadget of the Year (aka iPad) has caused lots of hype amongst those looking for the best present or gift for loved ones, or just looking for a gift to buy themselves! This is partly because of Apple’s advertising and marketing of the iPad, but also thanks to othercompany’strying to make some money out of it.

Now, of course, the iPad is undisputablyone of the most interesting gadgets released this year. An Apple product bigger than an iPhone? Really? Bound to be an instant hit – but wait, there’s a problem. The problem is of course the ridiculous pricing Apple have put on this great product.

The cheapest version is a massive 429, enough to buy two iPod Classics with double the amount of memory the cheapest iPad hasand still have 100 to spare! This price plan is outrageously high, even for such a great product as an iPad.

There are many “free ipad” websites throughout the web claiming to get you a free iPad, most of them claiming you are an “Apple Tester”. This is absolute rubbish, as Apple do not allow you to test their products unless you are employed by Apple.

There is however a real way to get a iPad, for free. This method has been proven by the BBC and CNN. You have to refer friends through your own refferal link to sign up to FreebieJeebies and get a Free iPad themselves.

Basically, you signup, complete a trial offer, get some friends to sign up to for a free iPad and complete a trial offer as well, then once enough people signup through your refferal link, you will receive your iPad!

We’ve analysed this site and found that it is completely true and you can actually get an iPad for no money, but some of the trial offers did need a credit card. This is not a scam though, and it does work.

    EE PAD TRANSFORMER ASUS?
I am considering purchasing a ASUS EE PAD Transformer Model. I have no experience with the IPAD or EPAD devices. I am just wanting any advice I might get….on what to purchase and why. If you have experience or knowledge as a consumer? Thank you in advance. Best Buy is selling the EE PAD that I am looking at? I have not convinced myself yet that this is anything but another fad or gadget that will be gathering dust soon? Any opinion will be helpful…or another brand that you might suggest? Thanks GoodN

If you don’t already have a good reason for buying one… or you are not aware of your need for a tablet computer… chances are, you are considering buying one simply because you ARE experiencing the craze created by the fad surrounding this latest gadget.

Does it replace a computer? No. Infact, the Transformer uses Android OS… so it is really like a giant phone… without the phone service… but with a keyboard and touchpad.

Have you visited the website for the product?
      http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_Pad_Transformer_TF101/

Are you aware of what it will allow you to do? Do you have a need for any of the functions and capabilities of this gadget? Would it be nice to have an internet appliance you can slip into your purse? I don’t know, considering you will ONLY be getting online with this if you are near a WiFi hotspot… you won’t be using it with a USB Wireless Broadband Dongle. You *could* get online with this, if you have a hotspot app on your smartphone though.

In a nutshell, this is a netbook that doesn’t run Windows, that you can disconnect the keyboard from and use like a mini-tablet. It’s not a full fledged computer, you *ARE* limited in what you can do with it, and it would not replace a computer UNLESS you *only* used a computer to get email and write letters with MS Word.

Another brand? Look. If *YOU* don’t know if you need one of these, you probably don’t.

    Which tablet should I buy?
Hi, I was thinking about buying a tablet. But the thing is, I can’t decide! I am stuck between the Asus Eee pad, the Motorola xoom, and the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1. I am leaning toward the ee pad because of the nvidia tegra game store (I like to play video games) and the attatchable keyboard. But idk. I refuse to buy the ipad 2 because i am so sick of ios and i really want an android based tab. What do you think? Thanks!

Sorry about the apple fanboys. I know they always say for what would you do to change “X product” they always say “make it an ipad 2″. Back to the question. I would definnitely recommend the transformer. It has an IPS display like the ipad 2′s, so it has beautiful colors and amazing viewing angles close to 180 degrees. The samsung galaxy tab has no ports other than the dock connector at the bottom. It also does not have and IPS dislplay The xoom does not have a working microsd card slot while the transformer does and has a normal lcd screen that has dull washed out colors. I am currently in the same thing as you. I am so tired of ios even after less than a year. I decided the transformer was the best based on its display, working microsd card slot and attachable keyboard. Just to let you know instead of having to pay 150 for the keyboard, you can use any bluetooth keyboard. I hope i helped.!
